There is nothing more exciting, in my opinion, than to be handed a hard drive full of raw media. It contains a mystery I never get tired of, what’s the main story? As an editor, I love to investigate every angle in the raw footage until the most compelling story emerges.
I cut my teeth editing short branded content which focused on non-linear storytelling. This experience taught me how to uncover the essence of a story in an efficient and compelling way. It was an immensely gratifying process that I continue to enjoy doing to this day.
The possibility of exploring a story in more depth has always been a draw for me, and as a result, I have been recently chasing after more long-form documentary work. It offers the potential to explore emotional nuances that has the potential to create a more impactful story.
